Content: Marco ("Terence Hill") and his half brother Jacobo (Mario Pordo) are professional killers with irreproachable reputation. A group of landowners under the direction of Don Alfonso (Fernando Rey) take on both to keep their peons down, who become increasingly rebellious. Shortly after he is arrived in the village, Marco kills an agitator (Carlo Alberto Cortina), who plants ideas of liberty and human working conditions into the heads. But these ideas become effective, and also Marco doubts about he bumps off the right people. He changes sides and pulls together with the exploited peons from now on. But finally his brother Jacobo prevents, that Marco and the pretty tavern boss Soledad (Maria Grazia Buccella) can ride together into the sunset: The disaster is inevitable.
