Content:

Dakota Joe (Claudio Undari) is really coool. At the beginning he observes motionless, how Pedro and his bandits (Fernando Sancho) assault a stagecoach and kill the passengers. In the evening of the same day he clips the Mexicans of 3.000 dollars and a horse. Later on in Mexico he is hired by rich de Legada (Mirko Ellis), to kill a physician, who supports Zapata's revolution. Instead of fullfilling the job, he begins to sympathize with the rebels. But his new discovered human kindness does not get him too well, because now he has to undergo the usual special treatment à la Mexico by Legada who gives him the stick. But owing to Pedro, who works now for Legada, Dakota gets off with only a few scrapes. Together they eliminate late Legadas safe deposit and put his Hacienda in debris and ash. But on the escape Pedro discovers again his old bandit heart and suspends Dakota Joe in the middle of the desert without horse and water. But Dakota is a real hardboiled man ...

The Gunslinger says:

Reasonable Western made by Tulio Demicheli, which has even a certain socialcritical tendency. Dakota Joe changes himself of the cynical killer, who makes nearly everything for money, to an idealist. This transformation Pedro can not understand and thus he he has to die. The atmosphere is beautifully tough and dusty; the Mexican Bandidos and the henchmen of Legada have much to suffer ;-). Noteworthy is the bizarre "organized" score by Angel Oliver Pina. Could it be Carlo Rustichelli?
